Vice President Harris has cheered Diversity Equity and Inclusion and array of woke social-justice initiatives throughout her political career — raising new questions about the domestic policies she would pursue should she be elected president, critics told The Post.

The daughter of radical Marxist economist Donald Harris has never hidden her own left-wing ideology. Just days before the 2020 election, she re-upped her DEI chops, sharing an X post of a video explaining the difference between “equality and equity” — and why the latter, guaranteeing equal outcomes, was superior.

The video shows black and white mountain climbers struggling up a mountain until the ground under the black climber magically rises higher.

“There’s a big difference between equality and equity,” Harris cooed in the video. “Equitable treatment means we all end up at the same place.

Today Harris, the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee, has been labeled by some conservatives as a DEI candidate — and the record shows she has pushed DEI and similar woke initiatives her entire career.

During her years as district attorney of San Francisco (2004-2011) and later attorney general of California (2011-2017), Harris gutted the state’s three-strikes protocols and slow-walked prosecutions. In 2008, The San Francisco Chronicle editorial board blasted Harris for not processing the deportations of drug dealers.

“Her prosecutors should have known that convicted drug dealers were being allowed to bypass deportation. If they did raise objections, they were ineffective. If they did not, then they were either unclear on the law or not looking out for the best interest of the city,” the Chronicle wrote.

Harris has also been a reliable supporter of affirmative action on college campuses. After a 2016 Supreme Court decision upholding affirmative action (later reversed), she crowed: “SCOTUS’ decision to allow race as one consideration for college admissions allows us to embrace the benefits of diversity.”

She has long cheered Black Lives Matter — whose co-founder Patrisse Cullors declared that she and her fellow organizers are “trained Marxists.”

“Proud to be a member of a political party that included the words #BlackLivesMatter in the platform,” she declared in June 2016. In February 2019, Harris called BLM co-founder Alicia Garza “a powerful voice against police injustice.”

Garza and other movement bosses were later busted for funneling organization funds into a $6 million mansion in southern California.

That same month Harris opened the door to supporting reparations for black Americans.

“We have got to recognize, back to that earlier point, people aren’t starting out on the same base in terms of their ability to succeed,” Harris told Politico. “So we have got to recognize that and give people a lift up.” She co-sponsored a bill in April 2019 that would create a commission to study the issue.

In her legal career before moving to the Senate in January 2017, Harris wasn’t shy about promoting far-left prosecutors funded by George Soros.

“Progressive prosecutors are key to criminal justice reforms like rolling back mass incarceration and ending cash bail,” she said after the election of ultra-woke Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner. She reiterated her opposition to cash bail in 2019 as vice president.

When TV star Jussie Smollett faked a racially motivated assault against him — Harris immediately called it an “attempted modern day lynching.” The message remains live on her X account to this day — years after Smollett’s story fell apart in 2019.

She urged people to donate to a bail fund to help spring BLM rioters from lockup.

“If you’re able to, chip in now to the @MNFreedomFund to help post bail for those protesting on the ground in Minnesota,” she said on June 1, 2020.

She pushed defunding the police too.

“This whole movement is about rightly saying, we need to take a look at these budgets and figure out whether it reflects the right priorities,” Harris said on the “Ebro in the Morning” radio show.

“Extremist so-called leaders are trying to erase America’s history and dare suggest that studying and prioritizing diversity, equity, and inclusion is a bad thing. They’re wrong,” Harris wrote on X last October — as a flurry of states began looking into banishing the philosophy from college campuses.

“A Harris Administration would be a nightmare for every American regardless of race, color or creed. It would be more concerned about policing our pronouns rather than policing our streets,” warned Rep. Jeff Van Drew (R-NJ).

“America is not based on quotas — it’s about having the best and the brightest helping us blaze new trails of greatness. Based on her past actions she will sink us into a woke mediocrity.”

Added veteran Democratic strategist Hank Sheinkopf: “This stuff is not going to fly in Arizona and Nevada.”
