Jeremy Clarkson has revealed he almost crashed his car recently due to a problem on UK roads he says we’ve all ‘learnt to accept’.
The Clarkson’s Farm star, 64, explained how he was driving to see Top Gear co-star Richard Hammond when he ‘nearly had a crash’ at a traffic light due to overhanging branches obscuring his view.
‘I was on a main road and the red traffic lights ahead were completely obscured by overhanging branches,’ he said in his The Sun column.
‘That never used to happen. It does now. And we’ve learned to accept it.’
Controversial TV star Jeremy also raged at the 50-mile journey taking him two hours to complete, due to Britain’s roads ‘falling apart’ – which he said was much like the country as a whole.
Jeremy then turned on the radio, but was met with the headlines about the devastating Stockport stabbings, Huw Edwards pleading guilty for child abuse materials, and the ongoing riots throughout the country.
The presenter asked how long we have to ‘put up with the collapse of the country’ before something is done.
The visit to Richard came after reports the duo, along with James May, had dissolved the company behind The Grand Tour.
When the trio left Top Gear in 2015 after 13 years presenting together, they took the new series to Amazon Prime. But now after two decades it seems the trio are no longer going to be making TV together.
Last month the three presenters reportedly signed off on dissolving the production company they co-owned, W Chump and Sons.
It comes after the huge success of Clarkson’s Farm, one of Prime’s most-watched series with Jeremy as farmer-in-chief as he attempts to run Diddly Squat farm. Now in its third season, the show first premiered in 2021.
Last week, Jeremy reignited a feud with Chris Packham in his opinion piece, arguing that the nature enthusiast ‘simply doesn’t understand the real world’.
It came in response to BBC star Chris suggesting Taylor Swift should opt for commercial flights instead of private jets.

He explained that using commercial airlines like BA or Ryanair would make it ‘impossible’ for her to meet her demanding tour dates itinerary, leading to delays or missed shows, and pointed out that her global fame would make hopping on aBA flight pretty difficult.
