The 16-year-old suspect escaped from a youth detention centre last month.
The suspect, who cannot be named because of his age, was re-arrested in Kitchener early Wednesday after escaping custody on July 21.
The suspect had appeared via videoconference in Quebec Youth Court on July 19, a day after being arrested in Kitchener. He escaped while being held at a youth detention centre near the town of Petersburg, Ont.
