He has received several awards throughout his career, with his fame and recognition stretching even beyond the Italian border.

For several years, he was one of the pillars of the Trieste Chefs’ Association and Italian ambassador for Skmer Acmer, the association of chefs from the European and Mediterranean regions, according to local media reports.

In February, a nine-year-old girl miraculously survived being stung 500 times by a swarm of bees following a car crash.

Alice Soares Albino crawled out of the car which crashed off a cliff and killed her granddad and great-granddad in Espirito Santo, Brazil.

Her granddad, Jose Pereira Novais, 77, lost control of the car which also killed Alice’s great granddad Paulo Soares Ribeiro, 96.
