Randal Malone, who appeared on 1990s gameshow Singled Out, has died.
The actor, who played a ‘film star’ on the MTV programme, was 66.
His family announced that he died on Sunday at Valley Presbyterian Hospital in California, after suffering from kidney disease, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
As well as starring alongside Singled Out hosts Chris Hardwick, Jenny McCarthy and Carmen Electra, Malone held various roles across movies including Frankenstein Rising and The Triggerman.
His first film role was in Sunset After Dark, in 1996, with Oscar winner Margaret O’Brien and Anita Page.
More recently, he appeared in Sunset Society in 2018, Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde in 2017, and Dahmer vs Gacy in 2010.
Malone began his career with stints on Broadway before settling in Los Angeles in the late 1990s.
He was also president of the Southern California Motion Picture Council, and hosted various segments for the Game Show Network after Singled Out was axed in 1998.
He played several characters on the MTV programme, including ‘Filmstar Randal Malone’.
The dating show saw 100 single men and women competing for a date with one male and female contestant.
After Singled Out, Malone dedicated time and resources to the Motion Picture and TV Fund, and worked with TV producer Johnny Grant, dubbed the ‘Mayor of Hollywood’, to secure stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Malone is survived by his mother, brothers, sister and partner of 38 years.
