Chilling footage taken by one of the victims gravely wounded in the Trump assassination attempt captured a figure dashing across the AGR International roof outside the rally grounds just moments before shooting erupted.
The footage, taken by James Copenhaver at 6:08 p.m. on July 13 – minutes before bullets started flying at 6:11 p.m. – captured what appeared to be gunman Thomas Crooks running along the rooftop outside the rally grounds, in clear view of former President Donald Trump on stage.
After running across the rooftop, the figure in the video obtained by FOX News appears to crouch down and begin a taking position over the rally.
All the while on stage, Trump speaks on completely unaware of the danger looming. The clip cuts out before the gunfire begins.
Crooks grazed Trump in the ear and killed 50-year-old Trump supporter Corey Comperatore.
Two other bullets also struck 74-year-old Copenhaver, and another two hit rally attendee David Dutch, 57, standing nearby. Both are recovering.
