J.J. McCarthy is making the most out of his first NFL training camp.
The former Michigan quarterback — who was the No. 10 overall pick by the Vikings in this year’s NFL draft — enjoyed some quality time with his fiancée, Katya Kuropas, at training camp Monday.
Taking to her Instagram, Kuropas shared a photo of McCarthy kissing the side of her face while on the practice field at Twin Cities Orthopedics Performance Center at the team’s headquarters in Eagan, Minn.
“I loveeee you,” Kuropas wrote, adding two white heart emojis. “Training camp Year 1.”
The Vikings hosted a sold-out crowd during Monday’s training camp session.
The rookie quarterback has shown flashes of what he can do while connecting with his receivers on several plays this week.
Kuropas attended Vikings training camp after McCarthy signed a four-year, fully guaranteed contract worth $21.85 million earlier this month.
The deal includes a $12.71 million signing bonus and a fifth-year team option.
Kuropas was by McCarthy’s side when the Vikings selected him in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft in April.
The Vikings traded up one pick with the Jets, from No. 11 to No. 10, to select McCarthy — and sent the No. 11 pick, a fourth-round pick (No. 129) and a fifth rounder (No. 157) to New York.
Minnesota also got a sixth-round pick (No. 203) in return.
McCarthy proposed to Kuropas three months prior.
The couple announced the exciting news with an engagement photo shoot, which featured their dog, an English Cream Golden Retriever named Marley.
“Me, You & Marley Forever & Ever,” they wrote in a joint Instagram post at the time.
McCarthy, 21, put a ring on it just two weeks after Michigan’s national championship win over Washington.
The couple, who began dating when they both were in high school at Nazareth Academy in La Grange Park, Ill., celebrated their fifth year of dating in October 2023.
The Vikings open the 2024 NFL season on the road against the Giants on Sept. 8.
