The trade comes just days after Blackburn had been reinstated from a stint on the 60-day IL due to a stress reaction in his right foot.

He has a 7.11 ERA over his last six starts, but did pull off a win in his first start since the return on Friday despite allowing four runs on five hits while striking out two in Oakland’s victory over the Angels.
