Man, 33, in critical condition after Verdun shooting incident

Montreal police are investigating after a man was seriously wounded in a shooting in Verdun.

The incident occurred on Champlain St. near Stephen St. around 3:30 p.m.

According to initial reports, a conflict broke out between the occupants of two vehicles and shots were fired. A man in his 30s was hit in the upper body. He was taken to a hospital in critical condition.

Police responded to a 911 call reporting a man with gunshot wounds on Champlain St.

Investigators have been dispatched to the scene.
