PHILADELPHIA — It hasn’t taken long for Jazz Chisholm Jr. to make an impact with the Yankees.
After starting a double play on a Trea Turner grounder in Chisholm’s first game as a pro at third base in the bottom of the first, the new Yankee then went deep in the top of the second with an opposite field shot to right off Philadelphia’s Zack Wheeler.
The lefty-swinging Chisholm arrived in a trade from the Marlins to provide speed and defensive versatility prior to Tuesday’s deadline.
It was his 14th homer of the season, as the Yankees try to find the best use — or uses — for Chisholm.
