Braves reunite with Jorge Soler, Luke Jackson in trade with Giants before MLB deadline

The Braves are running it back. 

2021 World Series MVP Jorge Soler was acquired from the Giants in a trade late Monday night that also included reuniting with right-hander Luke Jackson, MLB.com reported.

Both players had been part of that Braves world champion club in 2021 and Soler had his first stint with Atlanta after being picked up in a trade at the deadline that year before becoming a crucial part of the playoff run. 

Solar has been hitting .240 this season with 12 homers and  40 RBIs over 93 games with the Giants.

He’s also caught fire of late, going 11-for-18 over his last five games with a home run and five RBIs. 

Jackson is 4-2 with a 5.40 ERA in 36 appearances out of the bullpen.

The Braves sit just a half-game ahead of the Mets for the top NL Wild Card spot after am 8-3 loss to the Brewers on Monday night.
