Mets acquire veteran outfielder Jesse Winker from Nationals

The Mets have just made a trade with one of their division rivals.

The Mets are acquiring outfielder Jesse Winker in a trade with the Washington Nationals late Saturday night, The Post’s Joel Sherman confirmed.

There has been no reports as of yet who the Mets gave up in the deal.

The left-hitting Winker, who turns 31 on Aug. 17, signed a two-year, $2 million minor league deal with the Nationals in the offseason.

The veteran outfielder, who also played for the Reds, Mariners and Brewers, has had a strong season slashing .253/.372/.417 with 11 homers and 44 RBIs while playing a solid left field.

It’s the biggest pre-deadline move thus far for the Mets.
