Hair trends come and go. But if there’s one silhouette that is always in style, it’s the bob.

Bobs come in all shapes, sizes and lengths, but it’s a classic shape for a reason — it work for everyone. While going short may be intimidating, a cropped cut can be very playful, chic and convenient — take it from someone who has had various versions of a bob herself.

An easy way to transition from a long bob cut is to try a pixie cut. There are many variations of a pixie cut, and on Sandra, we opted for a longer pixie. The great thing about this shape is that it easily grows back into a long bob in no time, should Sandra wish to grow it out for the fall.

I love that we kept it textured and a touch longer around ears to allow for tucking. I created a fuller face-framing fringe to soften her hairline and carved into the nape area with a razor for a softly blended and more feminine finish.
