Olivia Culpo and Christian McCaffrey’s dreamy Rhode Island wedding was so nice, George Kittle hopes the newlyweds relive their nuptials again.
When recapping the starry June 29 affair to reporters this week, San Francisco’s tight end — who attended with wife Claire and several 49ers players and personnel — lauded the “beautiful wedding” while suggesting Culpo, 32, and McCaffrey, 29, host “another one just for fun.”
“[I’ve] never been to Rhode Island, I don’t know anyone from Rhode Island except for Olivia and her family, so, it was kind of cool to meet other people from Rhode Island,” Kittle, 30, said, according to NBC Sports Bay Area.
“It was kind of wild, too, because she’s really famous, and so, having the amount of police officers that were around and security and stuff, and people from Rhode Island just standing there on the corners with photographers and paparazzi stuff, that was a wild experience for me but overall, beautiful wedding, everyone there is incredible, so much fun, hopefully, they have another one just for fun and invite me again.”
Culpo and McCaffrey swapped vows in front of family and friends at Watch Hill Chapel in her native Rhode Island last month before celebrating with a lavish reception at the luxurious Ocean House resort.
In addition to the Kittles, 49ers fullback Kyle Juszczyk and his wife, Kristin, were in attendance, as well as head coach Kyle Shanahan and quarterback Brock Purdy.
Purdy also tied the knot this offseason.
“Even with so many people in the room, it felt like it was just Christian and I,” Culpo told Vogue of the ceremony, in which McCaffrey “blurted out ‘I do!’ within the first 30 seconds.”
“The priest told him we weren’t quite there yet, and our family and friends had a great moment of laughter at his eagerness. As a bride, there’s no better feeling than your husband not being able to wait a second longer to marry you.”
McCaffrey originally proposed to Culpo in April 2023 after nearly four years of dating.
He and the 49ers are now back to work at training camp as they seek Super Bowl redemption following a crushing 25-22 overtime loss to the Chiefs in February.
The 49ers open the season at home on Sept. 9 against the Jets on “Monday Night Football.”
