Roma’s Pizza owner Ahmad Adbulgnai talks about the challenges keeping his Bridgeland pizzeria open as his costs skyrocket
In the video, Ahmad Adbulgnai talked about the struggles his business Roma’s Pizza is facing because of the increasing costs of ingredients.
“I’ve been doing this for quite some time. I started my own business since 1999. We used to make a little money, but now hardly making any money,” said Adbulgnai.
Adbulgnai says he scours the city looking for deals as the costs of things like cheese, donair sauce and pop have spiked.
“I think of the customers before I think of myself sometimes,” Adbulgnai said.
He said he has tried to keep his prices low so he can retain his customers and stay in business.
“I feel for people, you can see it in their faces, there’s no money there,” he said.
