President Biden addressed the country for the first time since dropping out of the 2024 presidential election.
Biden spoke for about 10 minutes in the Oval Office Wednesday night, saying he reveres being president — “but I love my country more.”
The president endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris to take his spot on the ticket.
He faced mounting calls from his own party to drop out of the race due to concerns over his disastrous debate performance last month.
