RCMP arrest third man wanted by Saskatoon police in Melissa Duquette homicide

A 28-year-old man wanted in connection with a Saskatoon homicide earlier this year has been arrested by RCMP in Pelican Narrows.

A 28-year-old man wanted in connection with a Saskatoon homicide earlier this year has been arrested by RCMP in Pelican Narrows.

He was also wanted by Pelican Narrows RCMP in connection with multiple counts of assault with a weapon and weapons-related charges between March and July in the northern Saskatchewan community.

Ameech was located and arrested Monday at a home in Pelican Narrows, police said. He was scheduled to appear Tuesday in Saskatoon provincial court.

The Saskatchewan RCMP critical incident response team, police dog services, and warrant enforcement and suppression team (WEST) assisted in the investigation.

Last week, Saskatoon police laid first-degree murder charges against Kevin Gerald Keenatch and Sundance Okemaysim in connection with Duquette’s death.
