The Mets have a new injury concern in their starting rotation.
Christian Scott was placed on the 15-day injured list Tuesday with a right ulnar collateral ligament (UCL) sprain, the team announced, a worrying sign for the rookie right-hander.
The move is retroactive to Monday.
Scott, 25, lasted four innings in his last start on Sunday against the Marlins on Friday.
The Mets called up left-hander Alex Young from Triple-A Syracuse to take Scott’s place on the active roster.
