2025 Honda Civic Si sticks with six-speed, costs CDN$38,500

The styling is refreshed and the body’s stiffer, but the manual remains the only choice on this built-in-Ontario sedan

  • Honda’s 2025 Civic Si will start at $35,800 in Canada when it goes on sale August
  • As before, this sporty variant will come only with a six-speed manual transmission
  • And also as before, it’ll be built exclusively at Honda’s plant in Ontario

It will start at $35,800, increasing slightly over the $35,630 asked for the 2024 version. As before, it will be built exclusively in Honda’s factory in Alliston, Ontario, with its engine made at an engine plant in Ohio.

The Civic Si uses a turbocharged 1.5L four-cylinder engine that makes 200 horsepower and 192 lb-ft of torque, along with that short-throw six-speed manual. Power goes to the front wheels through a helical limited-slip differential. As before, the transmission includes a rev-matching system that blips the throttle on downshifts, but it now includes shifting from second into first. The Si also includes larger brakes than on the regular Civic sedan; and it wears 235/40R18 all-season performance tires.

The body receives new lower B-pillar and rear door sill supports that increase rigidity; and the dampers have been tuned for that additional stiffness, which Honda said will “further amplify driver enjoyment.” Drive modes include normal and sport settings, along with an “individual” mode for combining settings for engine response and steering assist levels.

Styling changes include a redesigned front fascia, hex-pattern grille, and redesigned taillights with a darker appearance. A new Urban Grey Pearl paint is available, while standard features continue to include LED lighting, gloss black trim, hidden front spoiler, and trunk-mounted rear spoiler.

Inside, the Si’s nine-inch touchscreen includes standard Google Built-In for the first time, alongside wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and new front USB-C ports. Standard interior features include a sunroof, 12-speaker Bose premium audio system, sport pedals, and red contrast stitching.
