Police allege the man was making threatening gestures.
A 47-year-old man was arrested in Westmount for wielding a knife Monday afternoon, Montreal police said.
Police were called to the scene on Sherbrooke St. around noon over a man alleged to have been making threatening gestures.
“When police arrived they quickly located and arrested him,” SPVM spokesperson Sabrina Gauthier said.
She added there are few details to share beyond the fact that the man is being questioned by officers.
