Dani Dyer is officially engaged to England footballer Jarrod Bowen after he popped the question during their holiday.
The Love Island star announced the joyous news on Instagram and gave fans an insight into the romantic proposal.
It seems he got down on one knee while the couple were enjoying a boat trip on crystal-clear blue water, and after she agreed to be his future wife, they happily posed for photos.
Clearly chuffed with the ring choice, Dani also shared a close-up snap of her left hand adorned with the new jewellery.
‘Us forever,’ she simply wrote in the caption.
She later added: ‘The most perfect day ever. So so happy.’
West Ham forward Jarrod and Dani, both 27, then celebrated their new status as fiancés by drinking cocktails while overlooking the ocean.
There are a few special little people who will certainly be present when they say ‘I do’ – their twin one-year-old daughters Summer and Star, and her son Santiago, three, from a previous relationship with former boyfriend Sammy Kimmence.
While Dani’s dad Danny Dyer will also be chuffed to be in attendance after he previously praised Dani’s partner choice.
‘The thing about Jarrod is that he’s such a lovely geezer. He’s humble, quite a shy kid and loves my daughter and worships the ground she walks on,’ the former EastEnders actor said on talkSPORT’s Breakfast Show.
‘That means the world to me and the bonus is he got the winning goal in Prague [Europa Conference League final in 2013], so I feel sorry for my other daughter [Sunnie] who’s 17. She can never bring a boy home that can ever match what this boy has done!
‘It’s a beautiful thing, I’m so happy for the pair of them, they’re so bang in love.’
Since Dani shared the happy news, some of their celebrity pals have shared their well-wishes.
‘Yayyyyy congratulations!!’ wrote singer Pixie Lott. Georgia Steel, who also starred on Love Island in 2018 – the season Dani won with then-boyfriend Jack Fincham, also shared her congratulations. She wrote: ‘So happy for you.’
The relationship milestone comes just a week after England’s 2-1 loss in the Euros 2024 final against Spain.
Dani supported Jarrod during the games from the stands, and the supportive partner was seen looking emotional after the final whistle blew and the team’s fate was sealed. Danny, 46, was there to comfort his daughter as she shed a few tears.
Jarrod and Dani’s love story began when they found themselves as neighbours.
‘He was my neighbour. There was absolutely nothing going on at all at first,’ she recalled to Metro.co.uk. ‘I was busy being a mum. I might have occasionally seen him while taking the bins out. Things then changed between us after he messaged me on my birthday.’
She also spoke about what makes their relationship work: ‘I’ve always said that you absolutely need to fancy your partner, but they need to be your best mate as you’re going to be with them forever and you’re going to get uglier together. That’s the relationship we have.’
