A man in his 50s was taken to hospital and his life is feared.
TROIS-RIVIÈRES — A kayaker is hospitalized in critical condition, according to the Sûreté du Québec, following an incident that occurred Saturday on the Matawin River near Trois-Rivières.
Emergency services were called around 12:15 p.m. to respond to a person in distress. According to initial information, a man in his 50 capsized while navigating the river. He then went missing and was rescued by other kayakers who accompanied him.
The man was taken to hospital in critical condition and his life is feared.
