Trump attorney Alina Habba chokes up while discussing ‘friend’ ex-prez in heartfelt RNC speech

Trump attorney Alina Habba choked up discussing the 45th president as not just a client – but a “friend.”

“Now I know you’re all used to hearing me shouting outside the courthouse,” she joked, “but tonight, I want to take you beyond the law and behind the headlines – and share with you a side of President Trump that reveals his character, his kindness, and commitment to saving this country.”

She revealed a poignant moment in which a supporter in Manhattan hollered out to her, “God bless you and President Trump!”

“Little did he know, I was on the phone with the president himself, who immediately asked me to pause, give the man my phone, and spent time speaking to him and thanking him for his support,” she said.“

Despite the lawfare and the politics, President Trump loves the American people, and he loves this country,” she added.

Habba said “every attack” against Trump only “strengthens” his movement — just days after his near-assassination at a campaign rally.

Habba, who is one of the most recognizable faces in his sprawling legal team, said Trump has supported her in both her professional and personal life as an attorney, wife and mother.

“President Trump championed my journey, empowering me to become who I am today,” she said. “His unwavering support not only shaped my career but has inspired other young women with big dreams.”

“To my husband, whose family members survived the Holocaust, he is a champion for the Jewish faith. To my Iraqi parents, he is a mentor to their daughter. But to me, he is my friend,” she said, choking up as she mentioned their kinship.

She also discussed the staying power of the 45th president’s legacy – both in business and in politics.

“For decades, the Trump Organization transformed skylines and created thousands of jobs. His buildings and businesses are a testament to his commitment to excellence and his drive to turn dreams into reality,” she said. “But his greatest construction project was yet to come.”

“The left tried to demolish President Trump, but there is no bulldozer big enough or strong enough to remove the legacy that he has built or the future he is creating,” she added.
