Taylor Swift stalker arrested at concert after making Travis Kelce threats

A 34-year-old man from the United States was detained in Germany earlier this week after allegedly making threats against Taylor Swift and boyfriend Travis Kelce, according to multiple reports.

The arrest of the stalker was made ahead of Swift’s first concert in Gelsenkirchen on Wednesday, according to the Associated Press.

Kelce, the Chiefs’ star tight end who celebrated a second consecutive Super Bowl title earlier this year with Swift by his side, was in attendance and was seen holding hands with Swift after the concert.

The threats were allegedly made on social media, though details of those threats haven’t been released, and the arrest occurred when police “couldn’t entirely rule out a risk,” the AP reported.

While the identity of the man remains unknown, he allegedly possessed a ticket for the concert and was detained “during entry checks to the event,” according to the AP, and will reportedly be held until Saturday — the day following Swift’s final show in the city.

It’s not the first time that Swift has dealt with a stalker.

David Crowe was arrested in New York City — where the singer has an apartment — twice across three days earlier this year for stalking outside of her apartment, among other incidents throughout her fame- and accolade-filled career.

The criminal case was eventually thrown out after Crowe was ruled mentally unfit and shifted from Rikers Island to a hospital for mental health treatment in February.

Swift’s “Eras Tour,” after remaining in Gelsenkirchen through Friday’s show, will then shift to Hamburg and Munich before leaving Germany for three shows in Warsaw to start August.

Kelce, according to videos posted to social media, watched Wednesday’s show from a VIP section and was pictured waving to fans, embracing the latest show — at 13 after that one, according to Page Six — he has attended throughout the Chiefs’ offseason before training camp begins next week.

It’ll mark Kelce’s 12th campaign, and he signed a two-year, $34.25 million extension in April to become the NFL’s highest-paid tight end following a year where he collected 984 yards and five touchdowns on 93 receptions during the regular season.
