Brad Pitt has been met with bizarre rumors that he has only just started showering regularly thanks to his girlfriend.
The Fight Club actor was first linked to Ines de Ramon at the end of 2022, following his bitter divorce from ex-wife Angelina Jolie.
Although their budding romance is looking stronger than ever, thanks to a PDA-filled visit to the F1 earlier this month, it has been claimed that the jewelry designer has improved the 60-year-old’s life in more ways than one – especially in the hygiene department.
Despite being one of the most well-groomed men in Hollywood, and spending a year developing his own skincare brand before launching it two years ago, there are rumors that he was ‘lackadaisical’ about his own routine before the 34-year-old came along.
‘He’s really reformed for Ines,’ an insider claimed to In Touch. ‘Brad used to be quite lackadaisical about taking showers and washing his hair, and only wanting to use soap and water when he did shower and refusing to use deodorant or cologne.
‘He’d often go a day or two without bathing, which is astonishing given he’s such a huge sex symbol, but with Ines, it’s a different story.
‘He’s gone out of his way to change his smelly ways.’
And it’s apparently not only bathing that the Bullet Train star has stepped his game up on in recent months, as he is also said to be leveling up his wardrobe, and enjoying the odd pampering session.
‘Brad’s generally paying more attention to clothes he wears and letting her pick out his cologne. She’s even got him flossing his teeth,’ they added. ‘Now, they love to go out and get pampered at the spa together, like massages and facials.
‘He loves moisturizers and skin creams too; he’s upped his game in this area to everyone’s relief.’
A source has since insisted to that ‘this is complete and total nonsense’.
Brad himself credited another former partner for part of his grooming regime, confessing that it was Gwyneth Paltrow that got him into the habit of washing his face twice a day.
The former couple started dating in 1994 after meeting on the set of Seven, and the dad-of-six got down on one knee two years into their romance.
It wasn’t to last and they called off their engagement in 1997, but are still close friends now.
He even name-checked her in an interview with British Vogue in 2022, as he launched his own genderless skincare, Le Domaine, commending her efforts with Goop.
‘I love what Gwyneth’s done [with Goop],’ he told the outlet. ‘She is still a really dear friend, and she has built this empire. She has always had that in her as a curator, and it’s been a lovely creative outlet for her. In fact, come to think about it, she was probably the first one who got me to even wash my face twice a day… maybe.’
Lifting the lid on his own beauty routine, he admitted that it hasn’t always been ‘good’, and is also surprisingly simple.
‘I have my little, simple regimen,’ he shared. ‘I got a morning wash, I do my serum, I do my day cream, and I’m done. I’m out the door.
‘Then at night, I do my wash – I am committed to the wash – I do my serum, and I do the night cream. Done.’
Brad added: ‘Well, when I’m looked after, I do [have a good skincare routine]. I just want to keep it simple. That said, I’m actually thorough now. I’ve been whipped into shape by my dear make-up artist friend – we started together 30 years ago – Jean Black.
‘She is pretty special. So whenever we’re on a film she keeps me healthy, and then she’s like, “try this”, and, “try that”.’
