Kids’ bike helmets purchased via Temu recalled because of risk of head injury

The helmets were sold by Chau River Sports Outdoors via online retailer Temu.

The multi-purpose bike helmets are in size small and have a black plastic knob at the back to adjust the fit. The model number — KY-E008 — is printed on a white label on the inside of the helmet. There have been no reports of injury so far in Canada.

The helmets must not be donated or sold, according to the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act.

The helmets, which were manufactured in China, are the subject of a global recall and were sold between June 2023 and February 2024.
