Kaytranada is coming home.
“I used to listen to my music on the bus,” the DJ-Producer, who grew up in St-Hubert, told The Gazette in 2016. “It was one of my favourite things, to look out the window and over at the Jacques Cartier Bridge and Parc Jean-Drapeau.”
Well, he’s now set to play at Parc Jean-Drapeau on Sept. 28 as part of his Timeless tour of North America.
Channel Tres, Kitty Ca$sh and his brother, Lou Phelps, are all set to appear at the show.
Born in Haiti and raised on the South Shore, Kaytranada started making beats at 15 in the basement of his family home.
In 2021, he won two Grammys — and Best Dance/Electronic Album and Best Dance Recording — for his second album, Bubba, and the single 10%. His third album, Timeless, came out in May of this year.
Presale for the Montreal show begins at 10 a.m. on July 18. The tickets will be made available to the general public the next day.
