Musk plans to donate $45M a month to super PAC backing Trump — after fully endorsing candidate following shooting: report

Elon Musk plans to donate around $45 million per month to a new political group backing ex-President Donald Trump in the 2024 election, according to a report.

The Tesla boss — who fully endorsed Trump in the wake of the weekend assassination attempt — is one of several tech moguls contributing to the America PAC, the Wall Street Journal reported Monday.

Other backers include Palantir Technologies co-founder Joe Lonsdale, the Winklevoss twins, former US ambassador to Canada Kelly Craft and her husband, Joe Craft, the chief executive of coal producer Alliance Resource Partners, the outlet reported.

America PAC was formed in Austin, Texas in May – where Musk’s electric car company Tesla is headquartered.

Musk, 53, has already donated a “sizeable amount” of money to America PAC, the total of which has not yet been disclosed.
