Arizona Senate candidate Kari Lake to deliver family-focused RNC speech Tuesday night

PHOENIX — Arizona US Senate candidate Kari Lake will address the parents of America during her Republican National Convention speech Tuesday night, a source familiar with the details told The Post.

“I am going to Washington, DC, to fight, not just for my kids but your kids, too,” Lake plans to say on stage in Milwaukee, Wis., in a primetime speaking spot.

Her college-age daughter Ruby is expected to join Lake backstage as the Republican underscores the message of “preserving and protecting the American Dream for future generations,” the source told The Post.

On the campaign trail, the Lake regularly focuses on economic issues and the fentanyl crisis as a warning to parents and younger voters.

Lake is expected to win Arizona’s July 30 Republican Senate primary for the seat replacing outgoing Democrat-turned-independent Sen. Kyrsten Sinema.

Lake will then face Democratic Rep. Ruben Gallego in November in the hotly competitive race that could tilt the balance of power in the Senate in Republicans’ favor.

Cook Political Report recently moved Arizona, a major swing-state this cycle, to “Lean Republican” in the presidential race from “Toss-Up” following President Biden’s decision to double down on his re-election bid despite a debilitating debate night.

Senate and presidential polling still shows the state is fair game for either party, which means that millions of dollars in field resources and advertising are being poured into the Grand Canyon State.

When it comes to statewide elections, this isn’t Lake’s first rodeo.

The former TV anchor ran for governor in 2022 but narrowly lost to Democrat Katie Hobbs, who now occupies the office.

Pinal County Sheriff Mark Lamb and neuroscientist Elizabeth Reye are also on the ballot July 30, competing for the nomination with the controversial candidate known for refusing to concede and contesting the results of her loss in 2022.

Lake is not the only Senate candidate with a speaking slot at the convention, as several including Michigan’s Mike Rogers and Pennsylvania’s Dave McCormick will be making a pitch to a national audience and critical voters in their home states.

The convention comes in the wake of an unsuccessful assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump at a rally in Butler, Pa., this weekend.

He appeared at the convention with a bandaged ear Monday night after announcing his running mate, Ohio Sen. J.D. Vance, that day.

“I am so excited to hear that President Trump has selected America First Warrior JD Vance as his running mate,” Lake tweeted after the vice-presidential-pick announcement.

“Through his service to this country, his work in the private sector & his tenure as a Senator, JD has demonstrated his fearless commitment to America. JD will be a GREAT Vice President!”
