2025 Mazda CX-5 starts at $32,550 in Canada

The automaker is keeping the bump to the SUV’s MSRP held down tight, but the top trim is still over $45,000

  • Mazda’s handsome CX-5 crossover for 2025 doesn’t cost much more than last year
  • Pricing starts at $32,550, about $300 more than ’24, and destination charges haven’t risen
  • Even keeping the MSRP bump minimal, the top trim now crests $45,000

Selecting the GX brings a host of features which should satisfy most shoppers, including a 10.25-inch infotainment screen, heated front seats, plenty of USB ports, and wired smartphone mirroring, just to name a few items. Spending roughly an extra $4,000 gains access to the GS trim and its power liftgate, heated steering wheel, automatic climate control, plus vents and an armrest for ungrateful whelps in the backseat.

Don’t look for the turbocharged engine until the $44,200 Sport Design trim, a mill which also displaced 2.5L and makes 256 horses and 320 lb-ft of twist when fed premium fuel. The black-trimmed Suna edition adds a further couple of hundred bucks before the range tops out with the $45,200 Signature trim. That model gets Nappa leather and genuine Abachi woodgrain in Mazda’s continual quest to push itself upmarket.

In a fit of transparency, Mazda has not changed the destination and delivery charge of $2,095, which avoids a hidden price change the likes of which we’ve seen elsewhere in the industry. Also unaltered are the prices of extra-cost paint hues like the tremendous Soul Crystal Red, which continues to add $500 to the tab.
