Woman’s death in St-Hubert ‘considered suspicious’: police

“Investigators are meeting an important witness,” Longueuil police say.

Longueuil police are investigating a suspicious death that occurred late Sunday in the St-Hubert borough.

SPAL police officers were called about 11 p.m. to a seniors residence on Langevin St. where they found a woman unconscious.

“Cardiopulmonary resuscitation manoeuvres were undertaken. The lady was transported to a hospital centre, where she was unfortunately pronounced dead,” said police spokesperson Mélanie Mercille. “The death of the lady is currently considered suspicious.”

Longueuil police set up a command post on site Monday.

“Investigators are meeting an important witness. For now, we are collecting testimonies and evidence that could help establish the exact circumstances surrounding this death. We should be able to learn more over the next few hours,” Mercille said.
