President Donald Trump forced Secret Service agents to wait before rushing him off stage following a possible assassination attempt at a rally in Pennsylvania on Saturday — and pumped his fist with defiance, repeating the word “fight.”
It was an instantly iconic moment: Trump’s ear bloody and his face streaked with blood as he stared into the crowd of supporters in Butler, Pa.
As his Secret Service surrounded him and prepared to rush him off the rally stage in Butler, Penn., Trump could be heard urging his detail to “wait wait wait,” before wresting his arm free from the cluster of security to make the instantly historic gesture.
