Nikki Glaser mocks Scottie Scheffler’s arrest in hilarious ESPYs moment

Nikki Glaser stole the show once again, following up her hilarious appearance at Netflix’s “The Roast of Tom Brady” with a fire-blazing appearance at the 2024 ESPY Awards — taking aim at Scottie Scheffler, Patrick Mahomes and Connor McDavid as she presented the award for best male athlete.

Glaser, 40, didn’t hold back when she put Scheffler in the crosshairs over his arrest outside Valhalla Golf Club during the PGA Championship in May.

“The nominees include peak athletes who push their bodies to the limit, and also a golfer,” Glaser started. “I’m sorry, Scottie. I do know that golfing is hard. I mean there’s putting, chipping and driving over a cop’s leg.”

The punchline led to a roar of laughter from the audience inside the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles.

But Glaser quickly turned her attention to the Oilers defeat in the Stanley Cup Final to the Panthers, joking that it must have stung for McDavid to lose to the Florida squad.

“For now the only Stanley Cup Connor [McDavid] will get to hold will be the one his wife asks him to grab out of the cabinet,” she joked.

Glaser drew universal praise for her appearance during the Brady roast, making reference to it when she walked onto the ESPYs stage by saying that people likely recognized her from the “roast of Gisele’s [Bündchen] husband.”

The comedian joked that she had been a fan of the NFL since she “first watched Taylor Swift watch a football game,” poking fun a the plethora of new football fans who started watching the game after the pop icon began dating Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce

“It really changed my life because now I know who Patrick Mahomes is,” Glaser said. “Before, I only knew him as that guy in the State Farm ads, and based on his acting, I just assumed he was the CEO’s son.”

Mahomes ended up winning the award, but Chiefs coach Andy Reid accepted on his behalf.
