Former Gogglebox star Stephen Webbhas been inundated with support after sharing a snap from the set of Celebs Go Dating.
Stephen, 52, is best known for spending a decade as a couch critic on the Channel 4 TV show before announcing his departure last year.
Around six months later Stephen and his husband of six years Daniel Lustig announced they had separated, sharing that while there would ‘always be a lot of love’ between them, they’d ‘grown apart and made the decision to part ways’.
About a month later, Stephen was revealed to be part of the cast for the upcoming season of Celebs Go Dating, alongside Helen Flanagan, MAFS’ Ella Morgan, Love Island’s Chris Taylor, Made in Chelsea’s Tristan Phipps and Hollyoaks actress Jamelia.
He’s now shared a snap during filming, with the TV star getting plenty of support from those excited to see him appear.
Posting a photo posing in a garden on Instagram, Stephen was looking somewhat nervous as he smiled for the camera, with his caption also suggesting the same.
‘CGD The Brunch!! 😳 come on webb you got this ! 💪🏻 @celebsgodating,’ he wrote.
Despite his apprehension, he was reassured by many.
‘You look good enough to eat! Go get em boy,’ Jo commented.
‘Looking amazing, Stephen. I’ll be looking forwards to seeing show now, you’ve such a cheeky sense of humour, I love it,’ Liz posted.
‘Is it me or do you look 15 years younger than when you were on Gogglebox ????’ Ruth added.
Dating agent Anna Williamson also commented: ‘Looking GOOD!!!!! (And you’ve nicked my selfie spot 😉) ❤️.’
Gogglebox’s Simon and Jane also gave him some words of support: ‘Of course you have got this Stephen.’
When rumours first started swirling that Stephen had signed up to the reality dating series, Daniel said that he would ‘definitely support him and watch’.
Asked by The Sun whether he thought it was ‘too soon’ for his ex to jump back into dating on national TV, he explained they’d been single for around 10 months at that time.
‘He’ll be a very good candidate. He’s got some very very funny stories if he is going on it,’ he said.
‘I want him to find love again. We always want our exes and friends to find love and just to be happy.’
