A 55-year-old man was fighting for his life early Wednesday after being shot hours earlier in LaSalle.
Montreal police said they received reports of shots fired around 1 a.m. on Airlie St. Officers found the victim inside a dwelling. He had been shot at least once in the upper body.
The man was taken to hospital, where he remained in critical condition Wednesday morning.
No arrests had been made by sunrise Wednesday and a crime scene perimeter was set up at the site of the shooting, forcing Airlie St. to be closed between Behrens St. and 80th Ave.
