The Royal Canadian Mounted Police announced Tuesday it is launching a campaign in Montreal and Longueuil to raise awareness on foreign interference activities “such as threats, intimidation or harassment committed by the People’s Republic of China.”
The move comes after the RCMP confirmed last year that an investigation was underway into allegations that Chinese government officials were operating clandestine “police stations” out of the facilities of two Montreal-area Chinese community organizations that the police publicly identified.
