Woman hospitalized after single-vehicle highway rollover near Saskatoon

A 23-year-old woman was hospitalized and a dog, the only other occupant, died after a highway rollover on Sunday.

A single-vehicle rollover on the highway east of the University of Saskatchewan on Sunday morning resulted in injuries and the death of a pet.

Officers found a vehicle in the ditch that had started on fire. The release noted it was believed to have rolled several times.

“Saskatoon Fire was on scene to put out the fire and assist in extracting the driver from the vehicle,” the release added.

The police collision analyst team continues to investigate the crash.
