Preliminary results of an autopsy show “the involvement of a third party does not appear to have contributed” to 51-year-old St-Bruno woman’s death, Longueuil police say.
Based on preliminary autopsy results, the death of a 51-year-old South Shore woman last month initially “considered suspicious” is no longer considered to have been a suspicious death.
A command post was set up outside her Benoît St. condo and efforts were made to contact the woman’s family, police said. They said an autopsy would be conducted and that the death was “considered suspicious.”
Preliminary results of the autopsy, performed by the coroner’s office, show that “at this stage of the investigation, the involvement of a third party does not appear to have contributed to the death,” Longueuil police said in an update posted on social media on Friday. In other words, said Longueuil police spokesperson Ghyslain Vallières on Monday, the death is no longer considered suspicious.
Out of respect for the family of the deceased woman, the force said, there would be no further comment on the death.
