Police investigate after body found in Plateau-Mont Royal

The body of a man in his 40s was found in what authorities described as a “makeshift shelter” between two buildings on Léo-Pariseau St.

Montreal police have launched an investigation after the body of a man in his 40s was found Monday morning in what authorities described as a “makeshift shelter” in the borough of Plateau-Mont-Royal.

Officers were summoned to the scene on Léo-Pariseau St. near Jeanne-Mance St. by a 911 call received at about 10:15 a.m.

The makeshift shelter was located between two buildings on the street. A police perimeter has been set up at the scene to allow investigators to try to determine the circumstances leading to the man’s death.
