He averaged 21.0 points, 7.3 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game last year.

But he did not play the year prior after being accused of domestic assault.

He faced charges of misdemeanor child abuse and injury to personal property and then an alleged violation of a domestic violence protection order.

His girlfriend, Mychelle Johnson, shared disturbing photos of her injuries after an alleged attack on June 27 and 28, 2022.

She accused Bridges of choking her, breaking her nose and giving her a concussion, and he pleaded not guilty.

Bridges was suspended 30 games by the NBA, but the league gave him credit for 20 games served when he sat out all of 2022-23.

Bridges was suspended 10 games this past season before making his return.

The criminal charges against Bridges were dropped in February due to “insufficient evidence.”

Johnson gave conflicting stories of what happened, according to the Associated Press.

Bridges returned to a mixed reaction among Hornets fans.

“I miss these fans and I didn’t know what to expect,” Bridges said after his first game back on Nov. 17, 2023. “And they miss me. So I was happy to go out and there and be able to play.”
