Nikki Glaser usually doesn’t apologize for a joke — but her parents do.
Julie Glaser and Edward Glaser said sorry for making fun of Julia Roberts and Travis Kelce’s PDA at the Taylor Swift concert in Dublin.
After taking her parents to the Eras Tour Sunday, Nikki, 40, showed them the viral video of the “Pretty Woman” actress, 56, tickling and rubbing Kelce’s chest while they were in the VIP tent at Swift’s show.
“She’s so gross,” Julie said about Roberts in a video on Nikki’s Instagram Story on Monday. She also said Roberts’ behavior with Kelce, 34, was “weird.”
“Isn’t that a little much?” Nikki said, adding, “She just wants to get in there.”
Edward criticized Roberts as well and said that Kelce was “trying to get away from her.”
“She’s trying to French kiss him right now! Just kidding. She would,” said Julie.
The next day, Nikki posted screenshots of articles about her parents’ comments. She wrote, “My parents are going to issue an apology soon.”
In the following slide, Nikki shared a video of her mother apologizing.
“I probably should’ve said something different than the word ‘gross,’” Julie said. “It’s a weird word. It’s not a nice word … So, I’m issuing an apology right now for using the word ‘gross,’ but I think it was really weird.”
She added, “I meant to say just weird, not gross and weird. So nix the gross.”
In the background, Edward joked that it was “too late” for Julie to take back her insults.
Roberts and Kelce made headlines for their interaction at Swift’s third and final show in Dublin.
The Oscar winner — who has been married to Danny Moder since 2002 — got very handsy with Kelce as they chatted in the tent.
She appeared to tell the athlete, “I’m so happy for you guys,” seemingly in reference to his and Swift’s relationship.
Swifties slammed Roberts online for the “uncomfortable” and “strange” encounter.
“Wtf is wrong with JR? why is she scratching his chest and pushing herself into him?? he is so uncomfortable trying to push her off and she holds him up. this is uber strange,” one fan said.
Kelce and Swift, 34, have been dating for under a year.
They connected after Kelce tried, and failed, to give the Grammy Award winner his number at one of her Eras Tour shows last summer.
“This all started when Travis very adorably put me on blast on his podcast, which I thought was metal as hell,” Swift said about the start of their relationship in her Time’s Person of the Year interview.
“We started hanging out right after that,” the pop star added. “So we actually had a significant amount of time that no one knew, which I’m grateful for, because we got to get to know each other. ”
Kelce, for his part, opened up about the romance in an interview with WSJ. Magazine late last year.
“Obviously I’ve never dated anyone with that kind of aura about them … I’ve never dealt with it,” he said of Swift’s stardom. “But at the same time, I’m not running away from any of it.”
The Kansas City Chiefs player said that Swift is “enjoying life” despite how much global attention she gets. “When she acts like that I better not be the one acting all strange,” he added.
