Canadiens will open 2025-26 season with games against Toronto, Boston

Season opener will be on Wednesday, Oct. 9, when Maple Leafs visit the Bell Centre before Habs fly to Boston to play Bruins the next night.

The Canadiens will open their 2025-26 NHL season with back-to-back games against Original Six rivals.

The first Saturday night game at the Bell Centre will be on Oct. 12 against the Ottawa Senators.

The Utah Hockey Club — formerly the Arizona Coyotes — will make their first visit to the Bell centre on Tuesday, Nov. 26. The Canadiens will play their first game in Utah on Tuesday, Jan. 14.

The Canadiens will also hold their annual Super Bowl weekend matinee games at the Bell Centre with the New Jersey Devils the visitors on Saturday, Feb. 8, followed by the Tampa Bay Lightning on Feb. 9. Both games will be 1 p.m. starts.

The first game of the 4 Nations Face-Off between Canada and Sweden will be at the Bell Centre on Wednesday, Feb. 12 at 8 p.m. Three other games will be held at the Bell Centre before the tournament moves to Boston: the United States vs. Finland on Thursday, Feb. 13 at 8 p.m., followed by a double-header on Saturday, Feb. 15, with Finland playing Sweden at 1 p.m. and the United States against Canada at 8 p.m.

The Canadiens will wrap up the regular season on Wednesday, April 16 when the Carolina Hurricanes visit the Bell Centre.
