Kim Kardashian’s ex-assistant Stephanie Shepherd scouted this chic rental while house hunting in NYC

Los Angeles-based entrepreneur, actress and climate activist Stephanie Shepherd is house hunting in New York.

Spots she’s toured include a $35,000-a-month Soho rental in a complex where Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel once lived. The townhouse comes both furnished, in easy neutral tones, or unfurnished.

Shepherd made her name as Kim Kardashian’s assistant from 2013 until the Skims mogul fired her in 2017 — but they remain supportive friends. She recently landed a supporting role, credited as Stephanie Suganami, in the 2022 Prime Video movie “Something from Tiffany’s.”

Shepherd, who has 1.9 million followers on social media, is also the co-founder of Future Earth, a non-profit environmental activism media company. In addition, she is known for her makeup artistry in the films “Good Boys,” “Rescued by Ruby” and “The Terror.”

Shepherd credits Kardashian for being both a friend and a teacher: “I always say it’s like my graduate school because I learned everything that I know about sending an email to an agent or speaking to a manager, or booking glam, or finding a photographer, or doing product development, or dealing with a public,” Shepherd once said in an interview.

Headquartered in LA, Shepherd is spending more time in New York and looking for a long-term rental. “She’s been spending too much on hotels every time she comes in. It makes more sense to rent,” a friend said.

The aforementioned power couple-graced building she toured is at Soho Mews, a Gwathmey Siegel & Associates Architects-designed residence — two buildings with a metal and glass facade, totaling 68 apartments — at 311 W. Broadway.

The three-bedroom, three-bath townhouse is a 3,194-square-foot duplex that comes with 280 square feet of outdoor space. While it shares Soho Mews amenities — including a 24-hour doorman, a gym and an onsite garage — the townhouse can be accessed from the landscaped courtyard as well as from a private entrance on Wooster Street. The upper level also has access to the Soho Mews elevator.

The home opens to a great room with high ceilings and floor-to-ceiling sliding doors that lead to a private terrace. There’s also an open living and dining area and a chef’s kitchen on the main floor, along with a junior bedroom suite.

Upstairs, there are two additional bedrooms with ensuite baths along with another room that can be a fourth bedroom or a home office. The main bedroom suite features a spa-like bath and a custom walk-in closet.

The listing broker is Douglas Elliman’s Abraham Sarway.
