Quebec City’s blue-collar workers set strike days for July

An intensive period of negotiation is planned, which the union hopes will break the deadlock in the talks.

Quebec City’s blue-collar workers are announcing more strike days in July if no agreement is reached by then on the renewal of their contract.

Their next walkout will take place from July 10 at 3 a.m. until July 15 “if necessary,” the Canadian Union of Public Employees, affiliated with the FTQ, said in a statement Friday.

The workers walked off the job for three days last week.
