SUV involved in hit and run sought by Montreal police

A 30-year-old man was seriously injured when he was hit by an SUV at the corner of Dubuisson Ave. and des Ormeaux St. Wednesday night.

A sport utility vehicle that police say failed to stop after hitting a pedestrian in Montreal on Wednesday evening is being sought by Montreal police Thursday morning.

The life of the man who was hit is no longer threatened, but the investigation continues to find the vehicle involved in the hit and run.

Around 11 p.m. Wednesday evening, police say a person driving a dark-coloured SUV did not stop at the corner of Dubuisson Ave. and des Ormeaux St. in the Tétreaultville district. A 30-year-old man was hit and taken to a hospital with serious injuries.

A security perimeter was set up at the intersection, but was lifted after a few hours.
