A 36-year-old South Carolina man tried to slice off another man’s nose with a samurai sword – all because the would-be Cassanova kissed a relative in a gas station parking lot, cops said.
Peter Michael Anthony Tighe was busted early Saturday morning outside a Circle K service station convenience store in Myrtle Beach after he allegedly became enraged that the victim tried to smooch with the unnamed relative, the Independent reported.
“[The victim] had a large piece of skin flapped off his nose and was hanging,” according to a Horry County police report reviewed by the outlet.
Cops responded to the scene on Highway 707 shortly after midnight Saturday and found the victim with a huge laceration to his nose and told cops he was cut with a katana sword – a traditional slightly curved Japanese blade associated with samurai, WBTW-TV said in another report.
The station said Tighe was found hiding in the women’s bathroom at the Circle K and arrested.
He was charged with aggravated assault and battery and was ordered held at the J. Reuben Long Detention Center on a $15,000 bond, the outlet said.
Tighe has been arrested before on assault and battery, trespassing and malicious injury charges, according to the Independent, which did not provide details.
