Happy Kimdependance day!
Kim Kardashian was roasted on social media after posing in a hairstyle that some said resembled the same periwigs worn by America’s Founding Fathers in the 1700s.
Kardashian wore a gray hairpiece styled into basket-weave pigtails in several photos shared on her Instagram on Sunday.
The constitutional coif was clearly the focal point of her look as she went makeup-free and wore simple nude leggings and a matching mesh tank top.
Internet trolls flooded the Skims founder’s comments section to razz the reality TV star for her colonial cut.
“What in the constitution is going on here?” one jokester wondered.
“It’s giving George Washington, slay version,” a second person commented.
“It’s giving…founding father,” a third said while another joked that “she getting ready to write the declaration of independence.”
Others compared her weave to a picnic basket, a “17th century judge,” and other famous historical and fictional people like Elsa from “Frozen,” Marie Antoinette, and Queen Daenerys Targaryen from “Game of Thrones.”
“looking very Marie Antoinette-let them eat cake-guillotine,” someone wrote.
Kardashian’s longtime hairstylist, Chris Appleton, was the mastermind behind the “American Horror Story” star’s revolutionary waves.
He proudly shared photos of her controversial mane to his own Instagram, captioning the post with several link emojis.
While Kardashian was dragged for her dreads, Appleton received kind words from his online fans.
“Whoa love this Chris 🔥🔥🔥 seriously beautiful my dear,” one person wrote.
“This is actually so cool. I need a tutorial of this,” a supporter said, with another exclaiming, “It’s Art everyone!” another exclaimed.
“You did great Chris, I admire the time that was put into this,” someone gushed.
“Woooww! 🙌👏 so unique! Loved it 😍,” another added.
Appleton has been responsible for Kim’s many hair transformations over the year, including all shades of blond — including her latest icy shade — pink and various lengths from blunt bobs to waist, skimming extensions.
