Emergency services tried to resuscitate him at a residence on de la Montagne St.
ST-BASILE-LE-GRAND — A 21-year-old man drowned Saturday morning in a residential swimming pool in St-Basile-le-Grand, in Montérégie.
According to the Richelieu-St-Laurent intermunicipal police agency, emergency services were contacted around 10:15 a.m. to report a possible drowning.
On site, emergency services carried out resuscitation manoeuvres on a 21-year-old young man who was near the swimming pool of this residence on rue de la Montagne.
The victim was transported to hospital where doctors pronounced him dead.
Investigators must go to the scene of the incident, said the police, in order to clarify the circumstances of the tragedy.
