Eva Longoria hints at Desperate Housewives co-stars she no longer speaks to amid feud rumours

Eva Longoria has reflected on her time on Desperate Housewives, revealing the co-stars she’s still in contact with years later.

The beloved drama ran for eight seasons between 2004 and 2012, and followed a group of tight-knit Fairview locals as they came to terms with their neighbor’s suicide, and the skeletons in their own closets.

The series was an instant hit and turned the cast – also made up of Felicity Huffman, Teri Hatcher and Marcia Cross – into household names, with Jesse Metcalfe, aka ‘hot gardener’ John Rowland, recently teasing that we could get a reboot.

However, the set wasn’t without feud rumors and reports of tensions, with Eva appearing to hint at some of the drama in a new chat.

Speaking to DailyMail.com, the Gabrielle Solis actress was questioned about which Wisteria Lane residents she still speaks to, 20 years after the program debuted.

‘I talk to Felicity all the time,’ she told the outlet. ‘I talk to Marcia a lot, but the one probably I talk to most is Ricardo [Antonio Chavira], my husband. And Jesse.’

Teri’s name was noticeably absent from that list, amid ongoing reports of tensions on set – something that she previously denied.

In 2019, Eva opened up about issues behind the scenes of Desperate Housewives when she wrote a letter in support of Lynette Scavo star Felicity – amid her sentencing for the college admissions scandal.

In the message, she alleged that she was bullied by an unnamed co-worker, penning: ‘I dreaded the days I had to go to work with that person because it was pure torture.

‘Until one day, Felicity told the bully “enough” and it all stopped. Felicity could feel that I was riddled with anxiety even though I never complained or mentioned the abuse to anyone.

‘I know I would not have survived those 10 years if it wasn’t for the friendship of Felicity.’

As she did not name the colleague who ‘bullied’ her on set, fans were left questioning their identity.

Patty Lin, who served as a writer on the program, later made headlines with her 2023 memoir, End Credits – in which she uncovered more tensions.

In the pages, she claimed that staff would only see the stars at their table reads before filming episodes, and would attempt to avoid ‘eye contact’ with Teri, who played ditzy Susan Mayer.

‘Usually, we’d see the cast only at table reads where we’d sit quietly at the back and try not to make eye contact with Teri Hatcher,’ she wrote.

However, Teri shut down any suggestion that she was at the center of any tension years before, vowing that she had respect for everyone on set.

‘That crew knows I’d have jumped in front of a bus for them at any moment,’ she previously told the Daily Mail.

‘I was beyond generous throughout those eight years and any crew member will tell you that, so it doesn’t matter what anybody writes.

‘I don’t really know who gave or did what. I know what I did, and I can look in the mirror at myself in a good way about the people I worked with and how much respect I had for them.’
