Eamonn Holmes’ rumoured new companion is said to be ‘smitten and in love’ with him, after his split from Ruth Langsford.
The GB News presenter, 64, and Loose Women star, also 64, confirmed they are in the process of divorcing late last month, with reports stating work commitments had resulted in the TV duo drifting in ‘different directions’, but they were determined to ‘keep things amicable’.
Since then, they’ve said little about their split, thought Eamonn thanked fans for support after returning to his TV role.
The former This Morning star has also been spotted out and about in London, pictured using a walking frame and crutches amid his ongoing health issues.
And it has now been said he’s being supported him by a new female companion, Katie Alexander.
The couple are said to have grown closer after a ‘string of outings’ together, and she’s reportedly ‘in it for the long haul’.
Sources close to the divorcee and mother-of-three also claimed to MailOnline that she’s ‘in love’ with Eamonn.
Katie is a relationship counsellor, whose personal Instagram bio reads: ‘Kitchen dancer with a soul too glam to give a damn.’
Her website says she takes a ‘holistic approach’ to counselling, focusing on the client.
It reads: ‘It is my job to try and help you make sense of what can sometimes be difficult to do alone.’
Earlier this month, it was claimed that Eamonn had been showering a close friend – who works as a relationship counsellor and who he’s known for several years – with gifts, leaving Ruth ‘angry’.
It was later said that Ruth was left extremely upset by the discovery of messages sent between her spouse and another woman on his laptop.
‘Ruth was completely taken by surprise when she saw the messages,’ a source told The Sun.
‘She had no idea what had been going on between them. She was devastated. Not only was she very upset but she was also angry.’
The gifts reportedly included tickets to a Beyoncé concert, a visit to Center Parcs and tickets to watch Manchester United at Old Trafford.
At the time, the counsellor was not said to be a reason for the marriage breakdown.
